AS 1735.1.1, 8th, 2022 – Lifts, escalators and moving walks, Part 1.1: General requirements
AS 1735.1.1 was prepared by the Standards Australia Committee ME-004, Lift Installations, to supersede AS 1735.1:2016.
The objective of this document is to provide general requirements including definitions of terms relevant to the AS 1735 series.
The major changes in this edition are —
(a) updated references; and
(b) inclusion of examples of compliance certificates.
This document forms part of the AS 1735 series of Standards. A list of all parts in the AS (AS/NZS) 1735 series can be found in the Standards Australia online catalogue.
The terms “normative” and “informative” are used in Standards to define the application of the appendices to which they apply. A “normative” appendix is an integral part of a Standard, whereas an “informative” appendix is only for information and guidance.
